My process is intuitive; the trees lead me to the places where their secrets are revealed and I follow gratefully. The resulting sculptures are sometimes figurative, human or animal; and other times abstract. They all invite the hand to touch. I hope that my efforts to reveal the wondrous spirits encased within chunks of discarded wood will inspire others to pay closer attention to the ever-present wisdom of nature and, especially, the immeasurable gifts and beauty of the trees. Life on earth depends upon the trees.
